LADIES’ DAY OUT
Saturday, November 10th
"Titanic Exhibit - Journey to the Past"
This was a fascinating
look into the past of this famous tragedy,
which happened April 14, 1912, after striking an iceberg in the North
Atlantic.
It was a small group for this LDO, only 5 CW Ladies' and 3 Guests!
We caravanned to the
Denver Museum of Nature & Science
for the 10:00 am tour.
Once we got our tickets, and entered the exhibit's area,
each of us was given a "Boarding Pass."
On the "Boarding Pass" was the name of an actual passenger on the Titanic,
if they were in 1st, 2nd, or 3rd class, what their room number was,
and a bit of their personal information.
At the end of the tour,
there was a complete listing of the entire passenger manifest,
and if they were a survivor, or perished in the sinking.
Each of us found our
'person' and among the 8 of us who attended,
6 survived, 2 did not.
After the tour, we had
lunch and fun conversation in the
T-Rex Cafe,
then we all headed home.

This was an awesome tour,
viewing the recovered Titanic artifacts,
and learning the time-line of what occurred on that fateful night,
and facts about those who worked on the Titanic, or were passengers.
A huge
"THANK YOU" to our LDO Chairwoman, Judy Boker,
for this amazing event!
