New Year's Day Brunch 'n Run - January 1, 2006

What a Great Start to another Brand New Year!

Even though the day was overcast, cool AND windy,
 we were up for brunch and a run!

There were 24 Members/3 Guests who enjoyed a great brunch at the Golden Corral. 

After brunch, a couple more members and Vettes joined us on the run,
bringing the total to 18 Vettes, 29 Members and 2 Guests!

We took off on one of our very favorite cruise routes, which took us east and north of Greeley.

 

After a bit, we came to one of our favorite places, which we call "The Briggsdale Grain Elevator."

Our cruise leaders, Dale and Janice Sipes,
decided against doing an impromptu stop, due to the strong winds and blowing dirt.

But, we'll definitely be back here another time!

Once past the elevator, we headed west, back towards Highway 85.

Dave and Shelley Sipes wanted to blow some cobwebs out of their engine and took off,
passing a couple of our other members, as Joe and Billi Jo Esquibel followed.

Ralph Giardino pulled into the passing lane,
to allow Karen to take this great picture of the Esquibel's car.

And, while Ralph and Karen were passing Pat and Cheryl Darnell's car,
Karen took this great picture of them.

Too bad, Ralph hit a bump in the road, and Karen got this nice, blurry picture of the sky instead!

Soon, we were at another of our favorite stops, the Ault Conoco,
where we stopped for snacks, drinks and friendly conversation.

After Ralph Giardino jokingly made the statement, if we had been teenagers,
we'd have been asked to leave for loitering, we all began to head for home!

All in all, it was a great start to another great CW year!
