Memorial Day Cruise to Estes Park - May 29th, 2006
CW Member's couldn't have asked for a better day for a cruise!
9 Vettes,16 Members and 1 Guest took part in this
impromptu cruise.
After gathering at Aims in Greeley,
we took off and met other members at the Loveland Kmart's parking lot.
From there, we cruised up the Big Thompson Canyon to Estes Park.
With little traffic to contend with, we made good time.
Once in Estes, we went our own way, shopping at our favorite stores,
visiting the craft fair in the park, or getting our chocolate fix at "The Chocolate Factory!"
Once we left Estes, we ended up at our favorite rest stop in Lyons,
where we said "good-bye" to some of our members, as they left for home.
4 Vettes, 7 Members and 1 Guest went on to
have a late lunch
at "The Blue Parrot Restaurant" in Louisville, via a scenic tour, provided by
Mapquest.
After Ralph "Ice Man" Giardino got the
party started, we all enjoyed a hilarious and delicious lunch.
Too full from lunch, we passed on a trip to the ice cream parlor and headed
home.
Thanks to John and Shannon Pollard for leading us - finally - to
Louisville.
Thanks to Ralph Giardino for planning this fun event.
