Installation Banquet
Once the Election of New Officers is held in January, the Installation Banquet takes place on a Saturday night shortly there after. All Corvettes West Members are “Welcome” to attend the banquet, which is held at a local restaurant. After dinner, the out-going Officers are acknowledged for their contributions to the club during the past year and then, the newly elected Officers are sworn into office. This is a great way to celebrate both the out-going and in-coming Officers. Results from the election are in our newsletter and posted on the website. |

Casino Night
Every year, we have a “Casino Night” for our members and their guests. This very popular club fund-raiser begins with a potluck dinner, followed by casino games and an auction afterwards. Club members are asked to bring potluck dishes for dinner, with the club providing non-alcoholic beverages. Each member or guest is requested to bring any $10 - $20 item for use in the auction later.
After the dinner is over, the Casino Games begin. Members and their guests purchase their ‘gambling money’ at $5 in 'real money' for $100 in ‘funny money.’ Club members volunteer to become the ‘Casino Employees’. The games played are poker, craps, blackjack, bingo, etc. Members and their guests may purchase additional ‘funny money’ to use in the auction. A club member is the auctioneer and before long, the auction gets 'wild and crazy’. The money raised from this event goes to help pay for the club's yearly expenses. |

Ditch Day
Well, you can just guess what happens on this day! In March, we are more than ready to take our cars out of storage (if they were even stored at all) and get them ready for a spring drive! Club members brave enough to "Ditch Work or School", meet around 12:30 pm. We take off on a cruise, have a snack somewhere and not feel the least bit guilty for taking an afternoon off!
Come join us, if you dare! |

Mystery Runs
A summer event to destinations unknown! Club members plan a Sunday adventure, including road games, prizes, and of course, a meal at a mysterious location! This is a daylong activity, so plan accordingly. A full tank of gas to begin the day is always a good thing! Beware - you never know where you will end up!
Our members receive a "mysterious message", letting them know
the time and location to meet and amount of money needed for this event. We
travel in caravan style to our "mysterious destination."
Of
course, it’s purely
for fun, to enjoy each other’s company, |

Run for the Gold
This is an extremely popular club activity! We are so very fortunate to live in Colorado and are just a short hour’s drive up into the rugged and beautiful Rocky Mountains. We plan this Sunday trip to coincide with the ‘changing of the aspens’, which occurs in mid to late September and sometimes, even into mid October. We do have to respect Mother Nature and her whims!
The day begins early in order to take advantage of a leisurely drive into the mountains to admire the autumn beauty of the ‘changing of the fall foliage’. As this is a daylong event, a full tank of gas to begin the day is an important thing! There are several opportunities along the way to take photos, so make sure you bring your camera and plenty of film!
We will be going to a beautiful mountain location for a BYO picnic lunch. After enjoying a peaceful lunch, surrounded by Mother Nature’s awesome beauty and friendly conversation, we all enjoy a nice, relaxing drive home. Of course, we have to end the day with a stop for ice cream!
We would love for you to "Come and Join Us!" |

Christmas Party
This event is held on a
Saturday evening in December.
This past
year, our generous members also donated bags of toys to our local "Santa
Cops" program. This Christmas party and White Elephant gift exchange gets us into the ‘Christmas Spirit!’
This is for those
Members, who can actually get up and get going after celebrating New Year’s
Eve! |
